Ever put on an outfit and feel like there’s something missing? My easy solution for that is to add a pop of color. The color could come in the form of a piece of clothing like a jacket or shoe, or an accessory like a scarf, jewelry, bag, or a headwrap.
I rely on pops of color to quickly and easily spice up an otherwise flat outfit. That’s why – for this look – I wore green shoes to jazz up the off-white pants.
The pants and shoes are Christian Siriano. I hadn’t worn any of his clothes before, although I rooted for him on Project Runway and think it’s great that he celebrates body diversity. So, when I saw that he was having a sample sale, I jetted all the way to the Upper East Side (that’s a far journey for me) to check out the goods.
Not only was the selection great, but the prices were even better. These cream pleated capris were $20 and the green Christian Siriano for Payless mules were less than $100 (I can’t remember the exact price).
