Tomorrow is the last day of the Mackage sample sale, but there is plenty of merchandise left. The sale had a variety of beautiful coats and vests, as well as heavy (leather) and light (parkas, raincoats, suede) jackets for women, men and kids. There were also handbags (small and large).
Mackage is well known for its design aesthetic and craftsmanship. In fact, it’s my favorite outerwear brand because they have super dope coats and jackets. They didn’t disappoint with this assortment, which appears to be from their most recent collections. That said, I thought the deals were pretty reasonable. They’re promoting up to 70% off; the discounts I saw ranged quite a bit. For example, suede jackets were marked down to $360 from $690 (50% off), while a down parka coat was $790, down from $890 (11% off).
My one frustration was the logistics of entering the building. I went around 1:45PM and there was a line of 6 that I waited in for over 30 minutes outside. Only 3 people were being let in at a time every 15 minutes or so. We were escorted to the 8th floor (Mackage’s studio) via the building’s freight elevator. My guess is that coming in through the regular street entrance may have been burdensome to the people who work there. If you decide to go, I suggest padding extra wait time just to access the building.
