To my fellow ‘Martin’ fans — I call this my ‘Miss Trinidad’ look…the 2000’s version. Remember the episode when his third grade teacher hit on him?

That’s right — naughty schoolteacher (or even Mrs. Clause). That’s the vibe I’m giving off here with the skirt, topped off with the low bun. The skirt is vintage tartan from East Village Vintage Collective. Can you figure out which pattern it is between these? I feel like I was looking at a Where’s Waldo book, trying to find the pattern of this skirt.
Anyway, what’s interesting about this skirt is that, while it’s a classic tartan pattern, it’s not classically pretty. That’s why I like it. I’m drawn to pieces that take extra creativity to style into a cool look.
I decided to give this outfit an unexpected twist with a sporty graphic print sweatshirt. By the way, it is a souvenir from the Michael Jackson ONE Cirque de Soleil Vegas show (I LOVE MJ!!) and the yellow peep toe Nine West heels are about 10 years old (but still fierce!). Sunnies are Quay Australia.
Thanks, Critsey, for the fun shoot!
